Program Overview:

This expedition spans multiple days, starting from the base camp and gradually ascending towards the summit of Mt. Bhagirathi 2. Participants will undergo thorough acclimatization, receive technical training, and traverse challenging terrain, all while marveling at the awe-inspiring beauty of the high Himalayas. Safety is paramount, and our expert guides will ensure that every participant has a safe and rewarding experience.


Day 1: Arrival in Gangotri (Altitude: 3,100m)

  • Participants arrive in Gangotri, the gateway to the expedition.
  • Orientation, gear check, and briefing session.
  • Overnight stay in Gangotri.

Day 2: Gangotri to Bhojbasa (Altitude: 3,800m)

  • Trek from Gangotri to Bhojbasa, a picturesque campsite along the banks of the Bhagirathi River.
  • Acclimatization hike and rest.
  • Overnight camping at Bhojbasa.

Day 3: Bhojbasa to Gaumukh (Altitude: 3,900m) and return

  • Trek to Gaumukh, the sacred source of the River Ganges, and return to Bhojbasa.
  • Explore the stunning glacier and surroundings.
  • Overnight camping at Bhojbasa.

Day 4: Bhojbasa to Nandanvan (Altitude: 4,500m)

  • Trek from Bhojbasa to Nandanvan, a scenic base camp nestled amidst towering peaks.
  • Establish base camp at Nandanvan.
  • Overnight camping at Nandanvan.

Day 5-9: Acclimatization and Training at Nandanvan

  • Several days dedicated to acclimatization hikes, technical training, and route familiarization.
  • Practice essential mountaineering skills such as rope handling, ice axe techniques, and crevasse rescue.
  • Rest and preparation for the summit push.
  • Overnight camping at Nandanvan.

Day 10-14: Summit Push

  • Commence the ascent towards the summit of Mt. Bhagirathi 2, following the established route.
  • Establish high camps at strategic locations to facilitate the summit bid.
  • Navigate challenging terrain, including steep slopes, crevasses, and icefalls.

Day 17: Departure

  • Participants depart from Gangotri, concluding the expedition.
